Compliance Officer & Risk Management Specialist

The Compliance Officer & Risk Management Specialist is responsible for the overall risk management practices of Your Neighbourhood Credit Union (YNCU). This position ensures adherence to YNCU’s risk management policies and procedures, compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies and various legislation. The Compliance Officer & Risk Management Specialist develops short and medium term work plans that will ensure that YNCU is compliant with all aspects of risk, internal controls, privacy and money laundering legislations.

Qualifications include a minimum of five (5) years related work experience and a post secondary degree/diploma in administration, finance or related studies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of financial statements, back office administration, spreadsheets, financial management policies and procedures, risk management and techniques as it relates to the administration areas within the financial services sector. The ability to work effectively and professionally with others in a team environment is critical. As it may be necessary to work in any of our branches on occasion, a valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable available vehicle are required.
