Part-time Member Services Representative

JOB SUMMARY:

The Part-time Member Service Representative provides prompt, courteous member service not only by processing member’s financial transactions, but also recognizing every opportunity to connect members to our full range of products and services by referring to the appropriate channels (in-branch, YNCU or third party services).

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process members’ transactional requests (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.)
  • Answer the telephone in the branch to identify member service needs and assist or direct them accordingly
  • Balance the ATM when requested
  • Promptly respond to member inquires/problems in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Maintain limits and adhere to transactional practices according to your prescribed letter of authority
  • Uncover members’ needs, assisting them in the application of said products or services
  • Proper completion and submission of tracking sheets from generated lists or self-recognized opportunities
  • Make member calls/contacts as directed by Management Staff from generated lists or self-recognized opportunities
  • Make at least 2 high level referrals/leads per shift
  • Make at least 1 Credential Financial Strategies referral per month
  • Follow our Service Standards consistently
  • Review member files and execute necessary contact with members as per audit requirements
  • Ensure all member files and records are arranged accurately and according to branch specifications
  • Serve as a backup to the Senior MSR as required
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent. Post-Secondary education/training an asset
  • Experience in a financial institution considered an asset
  • Must be bondable
