Auto insurance is underwritten by CUMIS General Insurance Company and administered by Co-operators General Insurance Company. YNCU is not the insurer.
This page provides general information only. Insurance is subject to applicable eligibility and underwriting requirements and product availability. Coverage depends on the policy purchased and is subject to terms, conditions, exclusions, coverage limits and applicable deductibles. Not all vehicles, uses, drivers or losses are covered. Optional coverage may require an additional premium.
Preferred member rates, claims-free discounts, multi-vehicle discounts and bundled savings are subject to eligibility and insurer rules. Savings vary and are not guaranteed. A discount does not guarantee that your total premium will decrease at renewal.
Accident forgiveness or driving record protection applies only where included in your policy and where its conditions are met. It may protect your rating with the insurer following a qualifying at-fault accident. It does not erase the accident from your driving history, guarantee recognition by another insurer or prevent premium changes for other reasons.
Vehicle damage coverage depends on the protection selected. Collision, comprehensive and other optional coverages protect against different risks and may have separate deductibles and exclusions. Mechanical breakdown and ordinary wear and tear are not automatically covered.
Accident benefits are subject to Ontario law and the coverage included in your policy. Following changes effective July 1, 2026, medical, rehabilitation and attendant care benefits remain mandatory, while other accident benefits, including income replacement, are optional. Confirm your selected benefits and limits with a licensed insurance representative.
Uninsured automobile coverage is subject to specific requirements and limits. Protection for bodily injury involving an unidentified driver does not mean that damage to your vehicle caused by an unidentified driver is automatically covered.
Where available and purchased, roadside assistance is subject to the applicable service terms, eligible vehicles, geographic restrictions and service or reimbursement limits. It does not cover every breakdown expense or the cost of vehicle repairs.
A quote does not confirm that coverage is in force. Coverage begins in accordance with the insurer’s confirmation and the policy’s effective date and conditions. Provide complete and accurate information about drivers, vehicle use and other requested details, and notify the insurer of changes as required.
Review your policy documents and endorsements for complete coverage details. Contact a licensed insurance representative for advice about your insurance needs.
