Built from necessity by creators and communities
YNCU was created by working people and small business owners who had to pool their money to make affordable financial services available to each other. They weren’t just customers—they were our creators and founders. Innovation is in our DNA. Credit unions introduced Canada’s first ATMs, and even brought digital banking to gaming consoles before digital banking was mainstream. We're still innovating by addressing unmet needs and making things simple and easy.
