What are Class A Shares?
Class A Shares have no set maturity date. A minimum 5-year vesting period applies, and redemptions are subject to approval, limits, and restrictions. They may be held in non-registered accounts, RRSPs, or TFSAs, but not RRIFs or FHSAs. Get more details here.

Each year, YNCU’s Board reviews the credit union’s financial performance and determines the appropriate dividend to be paid on Class A Investment Shares. Dividends are not guaranteed unless specifically stated in the applicable offering terms.
Yes. Eligible Class A Shares may be held in a TFSA or RRSP, as well as a non-registered account. RRSP-held Investment Shares are limited to members 65 and under.
No. Class A Shares are not eligible for RRIFs or FHSAs.
Class A Shares have a minimum 5-year vesting period. After that period, redemptions are subject to approval, limits, and restrictions.
No. Class A Shares do not have a set term or maturity date.
